DRUMS – PETER McDONAUGH

Peter started learning drums and percussion at the age of 8. By High School he was playing professional bands around Brisbane, awarded a scholarship for outstanding music student in Year 12 and joined the QLD Youth Symphony Orchestra. Peter then went on to study at the QLD Conservatorium of Music, touring nationally and internationally with numerous groups and artists. After his studies Peter was offered work on cruise-lines as a cabaret drummer which took him all over the world for 3 ½ years. Over the last few years Peter has been working in Sydney, building up a work load that includes some of the finest musicians and performers in the city. In some way over the last 25 years Peter has worked with the likes of James Morrison, Simon Gallagher, Debra Byrne, Rhonda Burchmore, Dave Gray, Sandra Reeves-Phillips (USA), Damien Leith, Cosima De Vito, The Noll Brothers, The Drifters (USA), Mike Mathieson, String Fever. He also has been employed as the Music Director for many of these tenures.

He was the perfect choice for FABBA with his Swedish blue eyes….and he really likes to boss the boys around!
